Highlights: M8 Alliance Expert Meeting on Migrant and Refugee Health

At the 3rd M8 Alliance Expert meeting on Migrant and Refugee Health, international experts from leading universities and academic health centers in several countries — including Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Italy, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Switzerland, Turkey, Uganda, UK, and the United States — gathered to discuss migrant and refugee mental health, health in difficult situations, and public health issues related to migration. Presentations and discussions concerned the situation in different continents with special attention to Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, and Venezuela. Migrant health has been on the agenda of the World Health Summit since 2015 and continues to be of great importance for the M8 Alliance, which works year-round to generate solutions to present and future challenges.
