WHS 2015 Wrap-up & M8 Statement

More than 1,500 participants from more than 90 countries attended the seventh World Health Summit from October 11-13 at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin.

Among them were about 260 international experts from academia, politics, the private sector, and civil society, holding active discussions in six keynotes, four panel discussions and 27 workshops on key topics such as refugee health, antimicrobial resistance, big data, and the effects of climate change on health (in preparation for the December UN Climate Change Conference in Paris).

At the closing ceremony, WHS Presidents Detlev Ganten (Berlin) and Shunichi Fukuhara (Kyoto) released the M8 Alliance Statement 2015, calling on global leaders to take bold action on five topics central to global health.

The M8 Statement is available online >>>

A special brochure was designed, offering a comprehensive wrap-up of the World Health Summit 2015 and a compact outlook to next year's event.
